SIM Awards / Concerts / Seminars / Workshops and other extra-curricular activities

Based on the examination results, the school will annually present the SIM Achievement Award to students who achieved the highest score in the practical examinations for each grade. SIM Honour Award will be presented to students who achieve full marks in the theory examinations. SIM Excellent Award will be presented Award will be presented to an outstanding teacher of the year.

S.I.M. has organised a number of concerts and in recent years presented several concerts of international standard as listed below.

31/5/92 S.I.M. co-organised soprano and piano concert by Chen Xing and Wang lei from Shanghai, China, at the MCA Hall.
27/3/92 S.I.M. and the Ministry of Culture, organised three charity concerts (1 matinee show) performed by the Central Philharmonic Orchestra of China at Dewan Merdeka in the Putra World Trade Centre.
7/7/91 S.I.M. organised a solo piano recital by Tenor Mr. Chin Yong (trained under Angelo Marenzi in Rome in 1989-1991), and Ms Chock Yau Yen at the Dewan Bandaraya in K.L.
19/3/91 S.I.M. collaborated with the Royal Embassy of Sweden and The Ministry of Culture to organise the Gothernberg Symphony Orchestra to perform at Tun Hussein Onn Hall in the Putra World Trade Centre.
14/9/90 S.I.M. collaborate with the Austrian Embassy and Ministry of Arts and Culture to organise a Bassoon and Violoncello Recital by Austrians Prof. Werner Schulze, and Ms Ute Zimmermann at Civic Hall.
22/4/90 S.I.M. organised a solo piano recital by the first prize winner of the International Piano Competition in Rome 1990, Mr. Chen Ruei Bin, from Austria, at the PJ Civic Hall.
31/8/89 S.I.M. organised the Wind Ensemble of The University of Western Australia to perform at S.I.M. Music Hall.
5/5/88 S.I.M. organised vocal recital at PJ Civic Hall by Mr. Chin Yong and Ms. Chock Yau Yen, award winning vocalists in Malaysia.
